Unaccompanied Asylum-seeking Children

Following the Government's decision not to accept any more child refugees, Kirsten Johnson, LDCF Exec Member, challenges us to do more not less.


Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. Luke 18:16 (New Living Translation)

Jesus cherished children, he welcomed them. Indeed, he said that the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like children: trusting, non-judgemental, affectionate and innocent.

But this flies in the face of the Government’s announcement that the U.K. would not take any more child refugees. Noticeable that the government released this statement the same day of the Brexit vote!

However, the news could not be buried. People up and down the country are angry and upset at this decision.
