Baroness Sal Brinton invites you to join us for our annual Gladstone Lecture and reception with Dr Julie Smith (Baroness Smith of Newnham).

When: Monday 13th June, 6:30pm
Where: St Matthew's Westminster, 20 Great Peter Street, SW1P 2BU
Cost: £10 in advance, £15 on the door
Drinks will be served from 6:30pm before the lecture begins at 7:15pm.
Dr Julie Smith is Director of the European Centre and Senior Lecturer in International Relations at the Department of Politics and International Studies, Cambridge University, and a Fellow of Robinson College, where she is a Graduate Tutor and Director of Studies in Politics. Julie served as Head of the European Programme at Chatham House from 1999 until 2003. Having first become involved in politics at the age of 12, campaigning for Shirley Williams in her native Crosby, Julie has been actively engaged in the Lib Dems ever since.
The Gladstone Lecture aims to spark debate and build bridges between faith and politics within the Liberal Democrats. Previous lecturers have included Baroness Shirley Williams and Sarah Teather (former MP for Brent Central).
With the EU referendum approaching, this year's lecture will be a timely contribution to the debate thought through from a Christian perspective.
