MPs vote on air strikes in syria

Last night MPs had to make one of the most difficult decisions they will ever make; whether to take military action in Syria against Daesh. After a day long debate, they voted to join other nations in airstrikes.

Following very thoughtful consideration, most Liberal Democrat MPs voted for the motion in support of airstrikes. Read Tim Farron's statement on how they came to this decision here and watch his full speech in the House of Commons above.

At this time, LDCF calls people to be united in prayer whether for or against the decision made. Pray that:

  • The action that follows is considered and thoughtful.
  • That our leaders lead with wisdom and care.
  • That people are respectful in their criticism and engage with politicians constructively.
